With less than a month away from Samsung’s latest smartphone launch (March 29th), a report from Evan Blass stated that the launch is delayed. The report is not referring to the launch event taking place March 29th, but to the release of the phone itself. Originally, the phone was rumored to release April 21st, but thanks to Blass’s report, that has been moved one week later to April 28th.
There is no obvious reason as to the delay, although one can argue that Samsung needs more time on their hands to manufacture enough handsets for the big release. One report suggests Samsung having a goal of 12M units at launch, which they suggestively won’t hit April 21st. Therefore the delay.
Whether this is true or not can only be recognized by waiting till release. We will update the website with more news regarding Samsung’s latest flagship. See our rumors article for info on what you can expect from Samsung this year.
