Never settle, OnePlus’s slogan which fits in perfectly with (especially) their latest phone, the 3T. It’s a true flagship killer (also a slogan of theirs) as it sports a Snapdragon 821 paired with an astonishing 6GB’s of RAM, a beautiful uni-body aluminium design, and more. In terms of specifications most flagship phones from big-name bands can’t get on OnePlus’s level. In this article we’ll take a look at rumored specifications, leaked images and release dates of the to come OnePlus 4.
OnePlus 4 Quick Info
- Launch: Mid 2017
- It will compete with flagship phones from big brands
- It will cost around $439
OnePlus 4 Rumored Specifications
The phone is rumored to feature a Snapdragon 835 CPU paired with 6 or 8GB’s of RAM. Many phone manufacturers launch their phones in Q1 each year. Which makes the competition big at that time of year. This year, the competition is particularly hard as Samsung put most available Snapdragon 835 chips on order, leaving other manufacturers Q1 phones with the last gen’s 821 CPU. OnePlus has an advantage here as Qualcomm (the manufacturer of Snapdragon CPU’s) will probably have enough chips available for OnePlus’s new flagship in mid 2017.
- Snapdragon 835
- 6 or 8GB’s of RAM
- 1440×2560 AMOLED display, supposedly 5,3 inches
- Some rumors say aluminium uni-body design and some say glass design
- Rumored 4000 mAh battery with even faster Dash Charge
- Dual camera system
- Headphone Jack
- Early rumors say 128GB’s of on board storage
As these rumors are early, take them with a grain of salt.
The authors own take
I’m not expecting OnePlus to come out with something groundbreaking this year. It will likely have a Snapdragon 830/835 CPU, but I wouldn’t count on it having 8Gb’s of RAM and a dual camera system.
Early Images of OnePlus 4
Granted, we are a few weeks or months away from seeing real leaked images from sources with a good track record. But the above picture is one of the earlier ones. It shows the phone having a dual camera system which would be used for AR & MR instead of just taking photos. It’s also expecting the phone to launch with a Glass-made body, which we’re not sure about.
